We're interested in one thing - making the best desserts that you've ever tasted. It's only fitting then, that they're featured on that, the most important of days - where everything must be perfect.
Brides-to-be want to entrust their wedding to those who will care about it as much as they do. That's us. We would love to have you over for a consultation to talk about what you want for your wedding, and for you to taste our delicious cakes and cupcakes. Whether you know exactly what you want for your wedding cake, or if you want to discuss it with us so that we can create something perfect together - we would be honored to have the opportunity.
From tiered cakes and fondant, to cupcakes, groom's cakes & dessert tables. Sugarfuse can do it all. Thank you for taking the time to consider us for your big day.
Ben & Heidi's Wedding
Held on the grounds of the beautiful Glen Haven Cabin in Sugarcreek, Ben and Heidi's outdoor reception was breathtaking. Blessed with perfect weather, the wedding party had cake while everyone else enjoyed cupcakes in four different flavors.
The cupcakes were featured on two stands. For flavors, the bride and groom picked out Signature Chocolate, White Wedding, Peanut Butter Cup and the bride's favorite - Red Velvet.
J.T. & Laramie's Wedding
Held on the same beautiful August day as the wedding above, J.T. and Laramie's receiption was held at the Firehall in Hopedale where J.T. is a firefighter.
The wedding colors were black and hot pink. Fittingly, Laramie requested that hot pink buttercream be in the middle of each tier of their 3 tier cake.
Each tier of their cake featured a bottom layer of our Signature Chocolate cake and a top layer of our White Wedding sandwiching the hot pink buttercream. The cakes were then surrounded by Vanilla Bean buttercream and draped in fondant. Each tier was very heavy so we used cardboard dowels wrapped in parchment to support the 2nd and 3rd tiers. The cake was finished off with edible hot pink glitter. We wish we had a photo of the cut cake - the hot pink was striking, and an excellent choice by the bride.
Dessert Table
In addition to the wedding cake, we were also commissioned to make 4 cakes for their dessert table: Caramelized Pineapple, Chocolate Peanut Butter, Vanilla Bean and Chocolate Covered Strawberry. But that's not all............
Groom's Cake
When they came over for their wedding cake consultation, J.T. had made mention that he wanted some camo in the wedding and Laramie wouldn't allow it. In the days after, we got Laramie's permission to provide them with a camo groom's cake. With our Caramel Turtle cupcake being one of J.T.'s favorites, we decided on a chocolate cake with salted caramel buttercream. We finished it with turtle candy pieces, drizzled chocolate & caramel, and turtle candies around the outside.
Weddings!
The fondant covered cake consisted of three tiers of White Wedding cake in between Vanilla Bean Icing. Heidi is one of the original Sugarfuse taste testers and she was the first person to point out that our Vanilla Bean buttercream "tastes like Breyers Vanilla Bean ice cream!" The cake was finished with a ribbon hand picked by the bride & gorgeous fresh flowers from the wedding.
James & Doriana's Wedding
Sugarcreek's Carlisle Inn was the host to this gorgeous wedding reception. The cake features 5 tiers of quilted fondant. Each cake has a layer of White Wedding and a layer of Signature Chocolate all smothered in our Vanilla Bean Buttercream and draped in our homemade fondant.
The tier underneath the top tier was fake and housed a turntable that allowed the top tier to spin at 2 revolutions per minute. This brought out the beauty of the topper - hand crafted by the extremely talented Gina, owner of The Bead Cafe in Wooster. Matching accents were on either side of the cake near the base.
The bottom tier was comprised of 5 cakes.
We also made over 200 cupcakes that we individually boxed - and guests at the reception were able to take one home.
